About This Lot

The most influential member of a school of artists originating from Goldsmiths, University of London in the 1980s, Hirst has become a household name. His work focuses on the fundamental elements of life, including death and love, which he expresses in controversial sculptures, installations and paintings.

The present work is from the artist's The Currency series of 10,000 unique variants of NFTs with corresponding physical artworks. Released in 2021, buyers, upon purchasing the work, could choose to keep the NFT or opt for the physical version before a fixed deadline. Once decided, the unkept copy, whether the NFT or the work on paper, was burnt by the artist. This is the physical version of 3139. Carefully to see the truth.
