Olivier Cablat

(French, born 1978)

Olivier Cablat (French, b.1978) is a documentary photographer. Born in Marignane in the southeast of France, Cablat graduated from Paul Valéry University in Montpellier in 1999, and later studied at the Graduate School of Fine Arts in Marseille and the National School of Photography in Arles. Since 1999, Cablat has researched trade development, the architecture of Las Vegas, and the popular symbolism from which all contemporary objects derive. He also worked as a documentary photographer at the French Center for the Study of Egyptian Temples in Karnak, Egypt between 2003 and 2004.

His work and publications are part of collections such as the Photographische Sammlung in Cologne and the Fotomuseum Winthertur.
